Hey, I'm new to the eclipse environment and i need to know why I am getting a couple of build error messages and how to fix the problem?

error: Error parsing XML: XML or text declaration not at start of entity main.xml /droid1/res/layout line 1 Android AAPT Problem

The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed. main.xml /droid1/res/layout line 1 Android XML Format Problem
