Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to add an specific external tool configuration to the set external tools from within a plugin, and to call that external tool from the plugin.

In more detail: I would like to write a plugin such that whenever the pluging is loaded one or more defined external tools are available in the external tools dialog. Also their preferences (executable, working directory, etc.) should be set. In addition, I would like to add actions to several menus to call the added external tools like if the user would select run from the external tools dialog.

Until now I found neither a way to add external tools programatically, nor can I execute any external tool configuration from the code.

I wonder if it is possible at all?
Any hints?
