Why is it not possible to vote on EGit bugs (in Bugzilla)?

Thanks Matthias.

Perhaps a few more than 10 as the max votes per user, since it can't do any harm?

Thanks for asking Razz

Matthias,

I'd like to vote for 12 bugs at this point, but there's a limit of 10. Could you please increase the maximum to 100?

_da.

My € 0.02 on voting:

Voting is not about making a decision on what bugs to fix and which ones,
not to fix. That decision is made by the developers. It is however helpful
input to the decision making process; it means someone will appreciate a fix
a little bit.

Having a lot of votes makes the votes less useful, hence you should decide
which bugs are dearest to you. Ten is about a number that for which you can
manage to keep your votes up-to-date.

And you don't have to use all your votes. If you only use, say two, out of
your ten votes, that may actually be more useful to you, than if you cast
all your votes. And you probably don't want to waste them on a bug that is
likely to be fixed anyway.

Okay, I'll just have to CC myself on the other two bugs for now.

We decided to go for the settings used by most other projects.
If many users vote on almost all bugs the vote statistics are
less likely to help in prioritization.

So put your 10 votes on those bugs you want most. An even better way
to ensure that your favorite bugs get closed is start contributing Smile
