Hi,

I'm investigating alternatives for a better persistence mechanism for very large ecore models. My reading of the docs for CDO is that is is not possible to use EMF.edit generated editors with a CDO back-end store. Is that correct, or have I just mis-interpreted something?

thanks,

Miles

The generated item providers (EMF.edit) will function in a normal way.
The generated editors will probably not function immediately and
unmodified because the ResourceSet has to be prepared in a slightly
different way. I think it should be comparingly easy to compare your
generated editor with the generic CDOEditor (basically all model editors
are almost fully generic) to see what you'll have to change. We're very
open to suggestions to make it easier for users to use their own
generated editors.

Cheers

OK, great, thanks Eike. It was really the .edit ItemProviders I was concerned about as we have extensive customization of those. I was assuming that because there was a generic editor the edit components would be generic as well but I don't know why I assumed that!
