First of all, I apologize in advance if this is not the proper forum to bring up this issue.

I am having trouble installing EMF 2.5.0 in the Eclipse Helios SDK. I have tried installing several different ways, but each time I get strange behavior related to org.eclipse.emf.importer.rose_2.5.0v200906151043.jar.

If I install the EMF 2.5.0 all in one, or one or more EMF 2.5.0 components using the update site, the update installer gets caught in an infinite loop of some sort where it attempts to fetch the above jar, fails, and immediately attempts again.

If I install from emf-xsd-Update-2.5.0.zip the install fails because the above package is missing.

Can someone please tell me if there is a solution to this problem? Is it possible to install EMF 2.5.0 in the Helios SDK? And if not, is there a version of EMF that is compatible with Helios?

Rob,

I'm not sure if EMF 2.5 installs with Helios. I imagine it should.
Have you tried pointing the update manager to the Galileo p2 update
site. Why don't you install EMF 2.6. That must work.
