Hello,
i've got a problem by deploying my own rap project. I used the guide I
found here:
http://help.eclipse.org/help33/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse. rap.help/help/html/advanced/deployment.html
I created a feature and a rap project and the errormessage I got when I
want to open the webapp is:
HTTP Status 404 - BridgeServlet: /build/rap
type Status report
message BridgeServlet: /build/rap
description The requested resource (BridgeServlet: /build/rap) is not
available.
I'm using Eclipse 3.3 Europa and downloaded as it was noticed on the page
the servletbridge for 3.3.
In the run-configuration my servlet name is also rap and the war is called
build.war, even if I compared the the demo project and my own everything
seems to be at the right place.
May I did something wrong?
Thanks and best regards

Hi Tobias,
Did you include org.eclipse.update.configurator in the war? If you are
using the Eclipse 3.3 runtime environment you need to include this plugin.
You should also check the build.xml of the plugin you created, and see
if plugin.xml is exported in binary builds.

Hello,
thanks for your answer so far. I tried to add the
org.eclipse.update.configurator plugin in my feature, but that plugin
doesn't exist. I downloaded the packages for eclipse 3.3.
Where can I find the build.xml?
Thanks a lot
Tobias

Maybe you want to have a look at this .war achive providing the demo app
from RAP CVS (it also includes the update.configurator plugin):
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technolo gy/rap/rapdemo.war
build.xml was nonsense, I meant the build.properties of your project.

Hello,
but even if I put the configurator into the plugin directory of the target
runtime or in the plugin of eclipse the rap.demo.feature shows an
exclamation mark at the configurator because it couldn't be found.
May there are another plugin (..update.configurator) for eclipse 3.3?
the build.properties file is also exported - I saw it in the plugin.xml >
build
Thanks so far and best regards!

Hi,
if you copy a plug-in into the plugin-directory of the target installation,
you have to reload the target in the target platform's preference page.
Otherewise the new plug-in is ignored. After reloading the target the
exclamation mark hopefully vanishs.
Ciao
