Hello

I was looking for semantic search engines and I found that on SMILA's home page that the name contains the word "semantic" however I found nothing on the wiki talking about the semantic part , so I have 3 questions:

1) Is this semantic part already implemented or not
2) If it is implemented is it integrated in the existing crawlers
3) can someone tell me how can I use it or test it ?

Thanks!!!

Hi Ahmed,

at first, welcome to our newsgroup!

Yes, there is a semantic part of SMILA which has already been implemented.
We introduced semantic layer in SMILA by implementing/providing an
ontology store (it's in the middle of the architecture overview) which
is based on Aduna's OpenRDF Sesame 2 (http://www.openrdf.org/).
We also deliver some pipelets for reading and writing records and other
resources into ontology store.
All the details concerning semantic layer are currently documented in
wiki at http://wiki.eclipse.org/SMILA/Documentation/SesameOntologyMa nager

Cheers
Igor
