p2 director doesn't install binaries [message #527186] Wed, 14 April 2010 12:02

Hello,

I have a P2 repository which I have generated using Buckminster. There
are 5 different products in the repository and I can see binary files for
them all. However only two of them will have binaries install when I use
the P2 director. As far as I can tell all the metadata is there and is
correct. However there will be no binary, swt library, .ini file or
configuration directory installed for 3 of the products. It seems there
is some configuration missing or wrong in these projects but comparing
the setup between the projects (product files, feature.xml files,
plugin.xml files and build.properties) and product IDs used in my install
commands (they match the product IDs in my .product files) I have not
been able to find what is wrong. Has anyone seen a similar issue or have
any suggestions as to how I may track down the solution?

I have run the director with the -debug option but I am not seeing
anything useful. My .options file looks like this:

org.eclipse.osg/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director.app/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.installer/debug=true
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.console/debug=true

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig
