Xpand IMPORT problem [message #527129] Wed, 14 April 2010 04:11 Go to next message

Hi,
it is the first time that i use XPand.

I tried it with the "requirement" example as in CVS.

My problem is if i keep this line in the xpt file:
«IMPORT 'http://www.eclipse.org/gmf/2009/GenModel'»

I get this error message:
mismatched input ''http://www.eclipse.org/gmf/2009/GenModel''
   expecting Identifier

Now if i only use the IMPORTs
«IMPORT tooltip»
«IMPORT gmfgen»
«IMPORT ecore»
«IMPORT genmodel»

I get the error message
Couldn't find property 'ecorePackage' for type 'genmodel::GenPackage'

for
subject.genPackage.ecorePackage.name

As I said, I'm new to XPand and i have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
The workflow runs correctly through in spite of the error messages in the editor.

hello, your problem might be that gmf xpand is a fork and works different from m2t xpand - so if you want to edit gmf templates you should use gmf xpand to do this.

Unfortunately, this is not the problem.

I created a new GMF XPand Template and opened it with GMF Xpand Editor.
Both editors have the same name. The one (guess that's the GMF XPand editor) gives me error messages as described, the other did not work.
He gives me exceptions when I save.

Right so when you use GMF Xpand (to customize GMF code generation) you should post your problem in the GMF forum.
