Hi there,

does anybody have experience on running SMILA with Apache Felix as an OSGi platform!?

Kind regards,
Bogdan.

As far as I know, nobody tried to do this yet. Also, I know that there are
a
few places where we use Equinox specific interfaces, so you would have to
port
them to Felix, too. So I reckon it wouldn't be trivial. But if you want
to try,
I would be very interested in your results.

Cheers,
Juergen.

Hi,

what would that specific interfaces be!? Do they cover a specific component or are they scattered all over the framework!?

Kind regards,
Bogdan.

For example, ConfigUtils and WorkspaceHelper use
org.eclipse.core.runtime.Platform.
There may be other places where this is done.

Not an interface, but an Equinox-specific feature: Some bundles use the
Eclipse-BuddyPolicy/RegisterBuddy manifest headers.

Also, I don't know if EclipseLink runs with Felix.

There may be more problems. We just never tried (-;

Regards,
Juergen.
