Minimalist Look and Feel [message #524694]

I've posted this in 'Newcomers' but perhaps here is a better place.

I want to achieve the 'minimalist' look exhibited by Eclipse, itself, when I build my own Java projects. I rather like it and find it a refreshing change from the Apple Aqua L&F.

My problem is that I can't find out how to prevent things like tabbed panes and the like becoming 'aqua-ised', which they do by default whenever I try to put a GUI together.

Having my main JFrame Aqua is fine but how do I get those cute tabbed panes with toolbars and 1px borders ?

I'm not an expert on this subject, however if I understood your problem
well, I think you should post in eclipse.platform.rcp rather than here.
Moreover, please note that the Eclipse RCP Platform is based on SWT and
not on Swing. You say you're using a JFrame, so I guess that you're
currently using Swing for your application GUI.
