How can I backup a Maven Web project with everything in it so that I don't have to rebuild/reconfigure my workspace everytime I restore an older project.

I think in Unix, the following command will do but my projects are in Windows.

rsync -ar <eclipse-dir> <backup-eclipse-dir>

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You can File -> Export your project as Archive File and later Import in the new workspace.
