Can't create a new report [message #522245]

Hi,

iam using fedora 12 and had installed eclipse-birt. in the tutorials is mentioned to use File->New->Report. But the Report item is not in the list, and also not to find under other.

Hi,
imho you are missing the BIRT Designer UI. Try installing BIRT by using
the Eclipse install. Choose "Work with: All available Sites", search for
"BIRT Framework" and install it.

thanks for your reply Klaus, i followed your mentioned way. i install all the stuff via the eclipse update manager. Here you can see the components he display, i select all there to install:

afterwards i got a new error:

i also have tried this with a fresh install of eclipse and a clean homedir, same effect. I have no clue why it isnt working.

neither i can see what you installed, nor your error message. Did you
forget to add them?

You dont see the Images in the Message? I see it.

I only installed BIRT Framework in a clean eclipse installation and that
was it.
You can try downloading "Eclipse IDE for Java and Report Developers"
from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
