A new incubator has been created to explore the use of Equinox in
server-side environments. Things are still getting organized, but check out
http://eclipse.org/equinox/incubator/server to see the initial proposal. The
incubator will be kicked off with changes to address some of the issues
noted. There is of course, much more work to be done. Please speak up if you
have contributions to make, solutions to problems, or interesting use-cases.

As I noted in a message few weeks ago "OSGi container on an application
server", the OHF project is very interested in running OSGi bundles in a
server side environment.
My goal is to have most of the components we develop in the OHF project
running both in the client side and server side. This way, to have the
Eclipse OHF a Healthcare technology project that could be used in both
worlds.
I suppose OHF will be one of the first clients to the project. We would
like to collaborate with you, primarily as use case providers and prof
of concept platform.

Have you seen the OSGi activity in the Geronimo mailing list?
Maybe its a good idea to publish the incubator at their list.

That's a good idea. Once things are set I'll definitely send a note their
way.
