I am a bit confused about ant builders - maybe some kind soul could shed
some light on this:
I have several projects all of which contain ant build.xml files. To spare
me having to trigger those manually I wanted to define me an "Ant-builder"
that simply triggers build.xml and subsequently refreshes the project's
view. What I don't quite understand: are builders something project specific
or are these "global"?
The reason I am asking is: if I try to define two builders with the same
name (but in different projects), the dialog refuses to accept the second
name claiming such a builder already exists. Fine, but why don't I then see
that builder in the second project such that I can simply check it?
I would be happy to define the builder such, that it is project independent
(i.e. does not contain project specifics) but simply runs "in the current
project". But then this builder needs to be visible from within each project
so that one could simply tick the checkmark on/off to enable/disable the
builder.
Right now, this seems oddly mixed: the builder seems to be defined for and
visible only project local, but its name must be globally unique?!?
