The refactor-rename of java package--encoding problem [message #510315] Wed, 27 January 2010 03:44 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi:
When I use the refactor-rename commond to modify the name of a java package, I often occur the problem of encoding, as shown in the image at:http://imagebin.org/82090

And the text encoding setting in my eclipse is shown in this image at :http://imagebin.org/82093
In fact , I am using maven as the build tool, and I have configed the encoding to iso-8859-1,so I choice it in the eclipse.
ALso I want to know what does the container in the above image mean?

BTW, my web connection is rather slow these days, I wonder if there is other way to post my problems? maybe the maillist? And I have found that the mailist of the eclipse.org is only for developer, is there one for user?

This looks like a bug an hence please open a bug against JDT UI
( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=JDT& component=UI)
with steps to reproduce.

I just wonder if the rename of packages is related with the encoding?
