Extending newTypeDeclaration and AST Factory [message #509117]

Hi

I would like to use my own subclassing of all concret classes derived from ASTNode like TypeDeclaration but this is not possible because derived classes are package private and there is no AST Factory interface available.

Is there a reason for not providing such facility in jdt.core.dom ??
