Up to now I have been giving each report its own resource file. This has resulted in resource items being duplicated in different properties files.

I would like to consolidate them all into a single file. This will give me a file of almost 400 items.

I was wondering if there Is a maximum number and what is a reasonable number ?

But I cannot seem to find information on what is a reasonable size for a properties file and when the number might impair performance. Though I did find in another forum a reference where it was suggested that 4095 was the maximum number of items in a single file.

Roy,

I believe this will depend on the size of the items. For example charts
are much bigger than labels. Can you open a bugzilla entry to get
clarification on a reasonable size?
