Birdterm is an open source serial port terminal program like
HyperTerm or Teraterm, written in Java using SWT/JFace and the RXTX
library for serial port IO.

The source code in the form of an Eclipse project is available from
SourceForge, licensed under EPL.

It has some classes which might be handy for people such as a fast
and simple-to-use text console, and a subclass which can do color ansi
graphics.

It is my first attempt at a stand-alone SWT/JFace application, and I
learned alot writing it. I really like SWT and JFace, but it was a lot
harder to set up the project than Swing, and I have to include those big
jar files.

Hopefully somebody may find it useful.
