Eclipse User

I am new in developing web application with java, and therefore I have some questions:

I want to build Java Web applications using Spring and Eclipse. I know I need Apache Tomcat server, bust do I need apache server too?
If so, how can I install connectors?.
I configured Eclipse to use Tomcat. Should I also configure Eclipse to use Apache server?. How can I do that?
