I am trying to create a "Connection Profile Store" for my BIRT 2.2.1 reports, however, I can't seem to find where to do it.

Here'w what I have downloaded/installed:
birt-report-designer-all-in-one-2_2_1.zip
dtp_1.5.1_101607.zip

I can navigate to the "Data Source Explorer" view and create data sources successfully, however I don't have any options to create a "Connection Profile Store" that can be read by BIRT to externalize my database connection information.

I have used BIRT 2.5 previously to create reports and was able to create and use Connection Profile Stores successfully. Unfortunately, for this project, I'm limited to using BIRT 2.2.1. I've even tried using a store from 2.5 in 2.2.1 (which didn't work).

In BIRT 2.5, there is a nice button to create a Connection Profile Store in the New Data Source wizard when you select to use profile stores -- no such button exists for 2.2.1.

I'm guessing that there's some feature or plug-in that I haven't installed, but I'm at a loss. I would appreciate any help since I've been working on this for a few days now...

Thanks,
Steven

Steven,

Yes the button was added after 2.2.1. All you should need is the all in
one designer for 2.2.1. Once installed, select Window->show view->other
Then select
Connectivity->Data Source Explorer. This will open the Data Source
Explorer view and you can right click on the type you want and select
new to build a new profile.

Steven,

In the Data Source Explorer view, you can use the Export menu option (one of the command icons at the upper right corner) to export one or more your data source profiles to an external file.
Then specify that file as the connection profile store file in the BIRT Data Source Wizard.
