Hi,

is there any link to the Javadoc for the actual UML2 release? When I begin at the project page, I only get this far:
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/?project=uml2

There is no link to Javadoc pages. However, thanks to Google, I found this:
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/uml2/javadoc/3.1.0/

Here I read "Provides an EMF-based implementation of the UML 2.1.1 metamodel for the Eclipse platform", but I got the impression that since UML 3.0.0 the UML 2.2 metamodel is implemented? Is there a better link to the actual UML 3.x.x Javadoc?

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas

You found the correct documentation.
Another way to get to it is from the UML2 wiki
http://wiki.eclipse.org/MDT-UML2 there is a section labeled Javadoc
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/javadoc/ .

There is an oversight in that the text reads "a UML 2.1.1 ..". It is
actually UML 2.2. I will correct that in the next build.

As a side note, the wiki also points to a migration guide for that release:
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/uml2/docs/guides/UML2_3. 0_Migration_Guide/guide.html

Regards,
- James.

Hi James,

yes I found it, now I can check for updates on my own, thanks a lot!

Also thanks for the link to the migration guide, I already found it elsewhere in the forum, but it's nice to have it in this topic. There's not much to migrate for us ArgoUML developers yet, because we've just started bringing our UML2 based model implementation into life (we had a first developer release recently). So we "suffer" from another migration task: from UML Spec 1.4 to UML Spec 2.2.

Thanks,
Thomas (from ArgoUML project)
