Hi,

We are developing commerical product using eclipse technologies. We use JET for code generation purposes. Till now we have been using JET 0.9.2. I noticed that from JET 1.0 onwards there is an additional dependancy on UML2. Can someone elucidate why this dependancy had been added?

Thanks,
Ravi.

Ravi:

The dependency was added in order to better support JET navigation of UML2 models.

That said, the intention was to make this dependency optional - all the UML2 dependent code is in a separate fragment.

However, I screwed up. See

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=291388

Until an official release arrives with UML2 as an optional feature, you can work around this as follows:

Create a feature of your own, including the JET plug-ins you want. For example, org.eclipse.jet, org.eclipse.jet.core and org.eclipse.jet.ui

Include that feature in your application, rather than the org.eclipse.jet one.

I plan to have a fix for the above bug in Galileo SR2 (Feb 2010).
