I have a small RCP application. After the application is built (either using a PDE headless build or using the product export wizard) when I start it a 'workspace' folder is created in the same folder with the application .exe file.
It contains a '.metadata' subfolder.

On the other hand the Eclipse IDE creates this folder in my user.home folder or the RSSOwl application creates a '.rssowl2' folder also in my user.home folder.

Is there a way to control where the '.workspace' folder is created or how it is named?

Catalin

Time is what you make of it.

Search for the osgi.configuration.area.default and
osgi.configuration.area system properties.
