Assocation and subpackage [message #474924] Wed, 23 July 2008 08:26 Go to next message

Hello,

I try UML2 Tools for few days and I found it wonderful.

However I have a little question :

Is it possible to have an association between 2 package ?

For example :
Main package : Root
2 sub package : core and article
2 classes : User and New

User is in the core package
New is in the article package

The User Class isn't in the same package than New because it was shared by
other subpackage.

I can make this association with the UML model editor, but the graphical
class diagram editor separate automatically the package and it's
impossible to drag and drop classes form another package (ie: Rose).

Perhaps it's a GMT message.

Thanks for your help, it will help me to finish my little php+MDA
framework.

Hi Sebastien,

Do you have try to display yours packages as frame instead of as folder
(accessible in contextual menu, menu "Show as"). As frame, I can see
association between two class dispatched between two package. And for me
class drag'n drop on package works fine as frame like as folder.
