Hi,

Does anyone have a tutorial or a sample of how sequence diagrams are
created and parsed?

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

You might want to search the older newsgroup for examples
(eclipse.tools.uml2).
You could have a look at the omg.org website.
Using a GUI tool like RSA would be probably be a help.

Regards,

- James.

Andrew,
Same here! instantiating the Interaction Languaje Unit of UML,
which specifies Sequence Diagrams as one presentation,
is less "evident" (?!) than as with other language units.

To show samples to my colleagues,
I used Topcased,
http://www.topcased.org/
to produce Sequence diagram,
and instantiate an Interaction.
Note that you

Using the free version of Blueprint Modeler may help, export to UML2
requires the Professional version though

Thanks! I think I found out what I needed. The events, occurrence
specifications, execution occurrences, send/receive events and messages
are difficult to initially figure out initially from the API, as they
all must go together to create the sequence diagram.

Best Regards,
Andrew.
