I just want to know the deference between the lower and lowervalue of the
association in uml2.

Hi Lasith,

I think you are referring to MultiplicityElement::lower and
MultiplicityElement:: lowerValue. Have a look at the UML spec p96.
lower is actually derived from lowerValue. In addition, there is a query
MultiplicityElement::lowerBound() that returns the lower bound of the
multiplicity as an integer. See p. 94 of the latest version of the spec
under "Additional Operations" [4].

It appears that lower is simply a convenient way of obtaining the integer
lower bound version from the lower value. The lower value is a value
specification.
