I ran through the tutorial and everything worked.

This JSF release seems like it helps with initial project creation/setup
but that's it. Is that right? It definitely makes getting started with JSF
easier but there's not much functionality there yet. Obviously, this is an
initial pre-release.

Regardless, I'm excited that JSF is getting official support, the current
release worked flawlessly the first time through, and I can't wait for the
future releases!

alfonse,

Thanks for trying things out!

You're absolutely correct, this pre-release (essentially, our "M1" release)
does little more than assisting in initial setup of a project (although you
can also "add" JSF to an existing web project by going into the project's
properties, and adding the JSF facet).

Our primary goal in this phase was to lay some groundwork, get active with
some code and features, and get active in the Eclipse community. We have
more to come in future releases (see the website for more), and hope there
are more folks out there as enthusiastic (and patient, hopefully) as yourself.

Again, thanks,
