I am trying to create an implementation of AbstractTocProvider. I found
this article [1] which is linked to from the 3.3 New & Noteworth [2],
but when I drop the code from the article into my workspace, it doesn't
even compile! The implementation of ITocContribution is missing the
getContributorId() method and the implementation of IToc is missing
getTopic(String), getTopics(), getChildren(), and isEnabled(). I've got
it to where it compiles and don't throw any runtime errors, but I'm
struggling with the getTopic methods and getting it to actually show up
int he help system. I've searched eclipse.org and the web and can't
find another example of using this API. Does anybody have a working
example they could share? Or hints on getting the ITopic set up right?
For now, I'm just looking to hard code something so I can prove that
I can get it to work.
I do intend to file a bug for the article with the code that doesn't
compile. :)
