Anyone in charge of these newsgroups, is it possible to add a C/C++ group? I
am a big fan of the OpenWatcom compiler on Windows and soon being ported to
linux. I was mentioning to them it might be a good idea to use the Eclipse
IDE with various OpenWatcom specific plugins that allow for a more robust
IDE than the Watcom IDE. I'd also like to see more gnu C/C++ plugins that
can allow the editor to do full syntax highlighting, code completion, etc
for C/C++. I know it will mean invoking command line compilers and such, but
I think Eclipse provides the right toolset for just about everything else,
like its editor, CVS hooks, Ant build projects and so forth. How you get the
debugger, compiler and possible profiler for Watcom and other C/C++
compilers working, I am not sure. It would also be great to see Assembly
capabilities.
