Hi James,

I'd like to contribute to your project.

With our investigation into E4 we have a lot of interest in scripting
eclipse. Both the general "I just want a few helper scripts" to
"JavaScript support since we'll support the web as well".

Some areas I'm interested in are the DOMs (how to get them right, how to
plug them in, are there opportunities for metadata to help with tooling,
etc) and the execution engines.

We've done some simple examples that use rhino where we've started it
ourselves (we use rhino from the Orbit project), and I'm interested to
see how Eclipse (Groovy) Monkey manages the runtimes.

You can contact me directly, and I monitor this newsgroup ... we're also
on irc://freenode.net in the #eclipse-dev and #eclipse-e4 channels.

Later,
Paul Webster

Thanks for your interest. You have given me quite a bit to chew on there.
I would like to chat about it if you can make the time. Since I am
having a bit of difficulty registering for this news group, please feel
free to email me directly.

I am also putting out some blog entries as I do some preliminary work on
Eclipse Monkey, http://iacobus.blogspot.com

Thanks,
