Are windows modal dialog boxes supported on Mac OS X [message #467408] Tue, 31 January 2006 03:58

I've built a simple SWT application to demonstrate to whether it's
feasible to use SWT for building a commercial multiplatform application,
where the primary concern is full-fidelity on Mac OS X. I've encountered
two problems. I've seen the first discussed already, the inability to
obtain a system folder icon. Packaging the icons with the application
isn't a great answer, but it's a workable one.

The other problem I'm not so sure about. I'm trying to create one of
those little dialog boxes that pop down from the top from of the
application window. I see there is no style for WINDOW_MODAL & and
neither PRIMARY_MODAL nor APPLICATION MODE seem to be doing the trick.

If I'm overlooking an obvious answer, apologies in advance.
