Eclipse Global Information? [message #464462] Wed, 07 March 2007 12:17 Go to next message

I'm using Eclipse (3.3M5) IDE on Windows XP.

When I installed a new version of Eclipse, and then begin to import
preferences, the new version of Eclipse starts to look in the folders
where the old version of Eclipse is stored.

How does the new version of Eclipse find the old version?
Where is this information stored?

Thanks

Charlie

Hello Charlie
I am just guessing. May be there is a way to find the programs that use
installed JRE's in the system?
Actually, quite interesting how it is done.
