Export error since Eclipse 3.2.2 [message #464067] |

Hello,
Today I tested the new Eclipse 3.2.2 version against
our RCP application, which currently runs fine with
Eclipse 3.2.1. Compile- and runtime behaviour seem to
be OK so far, but we observe a reproducible problem while
attempting an RCP export of our feature based product.
Before anyone asks this: I "installed" the Eclipse 3.2.2
version into a new directory, no override of the previous
3.1.2 version took place. I just used my previous workspace,
but started Eclipse at least two times with -clean option
before trying to export. Please note also, that our feature.xml
is free of any "matching" and "version" attributes (I removed
them already for Eclipse 3.1.2, which worked fine).
Every export attempt stops just some seconds later with
the following error dialog:
"Problems during export
Reason:
Unable to find plug-in: org.eclipse.osgi_3.2.2.R32x_v20070118. Please
check the error log for more details."
I checked several times that my 3.2.2 isntall directory does
indeed contain the org.eclipse.osgi_3.2.2.R32x_v20070118.jar
and I also checked that my target platform points to the
correct Eclipse_3.2.2 install directory (And no: The error
log did not contain any further details).
I remember some weeks ago that others mentioned similar export
problems in this newsgroup after some more recent updates via the
Eclipse Update Manager but I hoped that this issue has been fixed
since the official 3.2.2 release. Yet, I did no attempt to use
the update manager to install any further file updates.
Any ideas?
Greetings from Bremen,
Daniel Krügler

Did you update the files in the target directory of your export to match
the new RCP 3.2.2 files??

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. It was fixed by deleting the
org.eclipse.rcp feature in the configuration tab of my product-file
(xxx.product) and re-adding it. Maybe the next time this helps.
