I have read the SWT Display API and it says that "applications which are
built with SWT will almost always require only a single display".

I would like to ask some clarification in the "almost always" phrase.
Does it mean that we are discouraged to make multiple instances of
display? If so, why? Is there any OS where multiple instances of Display
is not supported?

Multiple display instances are not supported on GTK or the Mac. Generally
speaking, they should are not needed.
