Inquiry on the status of OLE Excel bugs / work arounds [message #459555]

In reference to the bugs listed below using OLE Excel component, I am
wondering if there are any known work arounds or previous builds/releases
that did not have these bugs. I am trying to use this particular
component in a plugin and I have found that my code is reproducing the
bugs listed below. I should note that I am instantiating the
OleClientSite with the 'Excel.Sheet' parameter, (.Application, and .Chart
did not seem to work)

Office '02 Excel v.10.2614.3311
jre1.5.0_04 / 1.4.2_08

In reference to this bug, I did find this to be the case, but sometimes,
the EXCEL.exe process did, visible in the Task Manager, did get killed
when I called dispose on the OLEClient site.
