How do I build the native libraries for SWT on Linux? [message #456782]

Can someone explain the easiest way to build the native SWT libraries
for Linux. I found the make files but I thought there was some ant
script that moved all the files into one place and kicked of the make
task. Is or was this true? I would like to mimic this in a plugin I am
building
