Hi,
We have lately upgraded from Eclipse v3.1.2 to 3.2 for our RCP application.
Then we have realized that, the discovery sites that we define in our
feature manifest files do no longer appear in the update sites dialog of the
update manager wizard.
I searched the forums and the bugs, but could not find any hint abuot the
problem. Then when I debugged in, I have realized that the preference
"org.eclipse.update.ui/discoverySitesEnabled" has now the value "false" (see
line 36 of DiscoveryFolder class).
The discovery sites work now for RCP application, when I set this preference
in our .ini file. But we still wonder, why such a change was necessary and
how should the user change this preference value via the UI?
