Hi,

I'm going a bit desperate. The project's deadline is approaching, and I'm
unable to fix two problems related to SWT. Any comment of any kind is really
welcome.

The problem is that, at certain points and in an aparent ramdom way, SWT
kills the VM.

It is always is a loop like:

while (!shell.isDisposed()) {
if (!display.readAndDispatch())
display.sleep();
}

The display.readAndDispatch() call is one to blame.

I'm using the SWT version bundled with Eclipse 3.0.1.

I'm coping below two VM logs. Again, any help or workaround is truly
welcome.

Thanks,

- Juan

Sounds like the following bug:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=4721

Are you running on Windows NT? Do you have any very long strings ion the
Combo?

After reading the bug, I'm not sure it's the same problem... I'm using
Windows XP SP2.

I've tried with the latest released libraries (bundled with Eclipse M4) with
the same result. I'm not using any other library (native or java) for this
project.

I've been searching for any bug entry affecting the Windows library method
reported in the VM crash log (DrawIcon in USER32.DLL) without success.

So, I'm a bit lost here..

I've been reading several bug reports this weekend, but didn't find any that
could be considered the same. I've placed a new bug report (#82953). I'll
continue to try to reproduce this problem in a consistent way.
