Hi.

I want to map context menu to Windows Application key. I've made a
small sample with Shell and KeyListener attached. My key listener is
called successfully for standard buttons but pressing Application key
does not produce any effect. Please give me a hint how to solve this
problem.

Thank you in advance.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! :)

I'm pretty sure there aren't any hooks for the Windows app key as it's
certainly not cross-platform. However, CTRL+Escape triggers the Start
menu... perhaps listening for that would achieve the result you want.
Otherwise I think you'd need a different key. (But why would you want to
map the context menu to the windows app key, instead of the context menu
key which was also introduced with win95? That doesn't seem user friendly..)

Actually I meant context menu key. Thank you for correcting me. Do you
know how mapping to context menu key can be accomplished?

If you want a context menu inside of a view, you can use
getSite().registerContextMenu(). I'm not familiar with the API for
custom apps built on SWT, there might be something similar out there. In
any case, hopefully that's a start- you can at least see how they did
it. I use this in my view, and it successfully listens to the Windows
context menu key.
