I have the same question.

It seems it needs the actual key sequence as M1+M2++. But I want ctrl++ instead of ctrl+alt++ shows on the menu.

I beleive you have something wrong some where else. I've just tested the keybinding M1++ and it worked perfectly well.

I'm using Eclipse 3.1.2 on WindosXP.
