Some of the published info. has made it seem that the SWT_AWT bridge works
only on Windows. True or false? A recent bit of news from a commercial
plugin developer indicated the Sun 1.5 JRE contained that which enabled the
SWT_AWT bridge to work upon Solaris. We've tried and failed on Solaris 8;
maybe we don't know all of the story.

Is the SWT_AWT bridge of Eclipse 3.0.1 viable on Solaris (8) with any JRE?
If it is, what are the prerequistes and tricks for success?
