MacOS X, Windows XP, Linux GTK, and Motif all support a spinner
control. By that I mean a text box with two buttons to one side with a
^ and a down symbol on each. Since all but one (and I'm not sure about
Photon) of the windowing systems SWT is released for support this
widget, why doesn't SWT? It could at least be emulated if it wasn't
supported on Photon. It's not a hard control to emulate.

It's low priority and Eclipse doesn't want it. A new native widget (even a
very simple one) is lots of work in terms of testing and maintenance. Maybe
post 3.0?
