Since Mac users cannot tear off views as of yet, is there anyway to simply
embed a view in a Dialog? The Visual Editor manages to embed a view in a
seperate window, but I'm not sure if this could actually work in an RCP
application.

Alternatively, can views be floating by default, thereby avoiding the
"reparenting issue" mentioned in bug 77174?

Sorry, just noticed that the second option I mentioned was recently
discussed. However, I would still be intersted in finding out about
embedding a view in a Dialog, or at the very least, getting some feedback
about best practices in terms of reusing code for both a ViewPart and a
Dialog.
