The company, I worked for, needs to decide on the front end framework for
our Call Center Application. The frameworks in question is Eclipse RCP or
the CAB framework on .NET. I have been assigned to find company(s)
references that has deployed RCP on that scale. Not like the JLibrary type
of application, but a transactional type application that can be deployed
to about +2000 users to interrogate an huge amounts of insurance data from
out ISeries box to service our external and internal clients/customers.
Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated.

Some "success stories" have been posted on this newsgroup, so I would
recommand to search around the newsgroup archive for deployment and JNLP.

Moreover IBM has delivered RCP based app to a large set of customers.

Not only that, but the IBM toolkits can generate code that allows remote running of code on an iSeries machine, based in Java. They're bundling it into toolkits for WebSphere Studio/Rational Software Application Developer, but I think that it's available as a seperate download. It used to have a crappy name like eSeries Toolbox, but it's probably got a 'WebSphere' thrown in there somewhere now.

You've got far more chance of talking to an iSeries box through Java than you have from .Net, especially if you want to talk to stored procedures etc.
