Hi,

the default behavior in Eclipse 3.1 for showing the help content is to
use the new dynamic help view. How can I set the preferences for the
help programatically in order to get the old behavior (<=Eclipse 3.0) back?

Thanks for any help,

Dirk

Help -> Help Contents brings up the help system. You can bind whatever key stroke(s) you want to using the Window -> Preferences menu and using 'Modify'. The category is 'Help' and the name is 'Help Contents'.

You can then bind it to F1 or whatever you want.

Thanks,

but this is not what I was searching for. I searched for some API to set
the preferences programatically. I didn't want to set the key bindings!
