Hi,

I am trying to download the latest JAX-WS binaries. I went to
http://wiki.eclipse.org/JAXWS which in the build section mentions to use the
WTP 3.1 M6 update site. When I click on this link I get a page which says
the update site URL is http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates/

However, this URL looks like it just has the released (non-incubation
features).

Can someone tell me what the WTP 3.1 M6 update URL is?

Hi Derek,

If you copy and paste that link from the JAX-WS Wiki. (this one)

http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/milestones

into your Eclipse update manager you'll see the features listed there.

Select the runtime or SDK version of the CXF Web Services feature and go
from there. The features are listed in the Web Tools Platform (WTP)
category.

To access the update manager look under Help > Software Updates in Eclipse
3.4.1

and in Help > Install New Software in Eclipse 3.5.x

Hello, sorry for hacking the thread.

My problem is that I can not install the jax-ws plugin from the update site mentioned, I get some dependency errors.

I downloaded fresh copy of eclipse galileo SR2 and tried to install WTP plugin.

What could be wrong?

I need to start developing jax-ws webservices from galileo.

You'll have problems installing the JAX-WS features from that update site if you are using the Eclipse JEE package.

It works if you're using an Eclipse 3.5.x install that you've configured yourself i.e. installing WTP and it's pre-reqs into the dropins folder.

For the Eclipse 3.5.x Java EE package you can download a zipped P2 repository that's produced as part of the WTP build which contains the JAX-WS features.

This is the latest one from the WTP 3.2.0 RC4 build:

To instal download the zip andl select

Help > Install New Software... from the top level menu in Eclipse.

In the Install wizard select the Add button

Then in the Add Site dialog select the Archive button and browse to select the downloaded zip above.

In the Install wizard de-select the following checkboxes:

* Group items by category
* Contact all update sites during install to find requried software

Select all the features and then progress through the wizard to complete the install.

Restart Eclipse when prompted and you should be good to go.
