Hello Forum,
I have already posted this problem at "eclipse.technology.equinox" with
subject: "P2. EMF ecoretools installation issue" but haven't gotten an
answer yet. I think that maybe someone has already face similar problem
and worked out.
I'm trying to install the ecoretools bundel from:
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emft/updates/milestones / and P2
displays:
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements
Match[requiredCapability:
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.eclipse.emf.compare.sdk.featur e.group/[0.8.0.v200806180301,0.8.0.v200806180301]].
I have tried many other sites resulting in a very long list of unmatching
capabilities.
I'm running Version: 3.4.1 Build id: M20080911-1700
Does anybody know how can I work this out?

Jorge,
Please use the EMFT newsgroup for Ecore Tools questions, and prefix the
subject with [Ecore Tools].

The p2 stuff is cool and all, but seems to generate an endless set of
problems with regard to refusals to update for inexplicable reasons...

Probably it's complaining about something that's already installed in
your system being inconsistent and then it uses that as a reason to
refuse to install anything else...

I think other people, when all else fails, just unzip the download zips
into the dropins folder and hope for the best. You could try getting
the 3.4.2 (SR2) modeling package download. All those pieces definitely
work together...
