Can we get a motion to generally ban marketing and advertising on this
group?
Although it is an important Eclipse strategy to "commercialize" its
technology by an Eclipse ecosystem, I find it not very helpful to have
advertising on this list (at least now as the project has started).
There are numerous places where people want to be informed about open
source and commercial offerings in the Eclipse space.
For all interested:

http://www.eclipse-plugins.info
I would suggest to focus on issues directly tied to the webtools open
source software in this forum.

Yes, it is very annoying to see the advertisement of a vendor when
people are looking for a free open source software.
Why dont I see the communicatin happenings among team members in the
newgroup? Do team members communicate through some other mean? Some
developer mailing list or some thing like this?

Although I cannot be considered as an really active member of this
newsgroup, I am following the wtp and this forum since before their
birth, following some eclipse newsgroups for quite some time and I have
been bored with that annoying kind of answers (not only from genuitec
people) for quite some time.
I am glad now, to see that some of this newsgroup's most active members
are raising that problem and trying to find a solution.
Of course, I would understand the frustration of a vendor trying by any
means necessary to promote such a product in an open source community,
by default kind of allergic to that kind of marketing strategy...
