Hi All,

I'm trying to display an EMF model in a Common Navigator Framework (CNF)
viewer and I want to provide the same functionnalities available in my
EMF editor. I mean drag and drop, cut, paste, delete, popup menu, ...

I have a working example that display my EMF model in my viewer but I'm
not able to edit it.

1- Is there existing example that show how to enable all these
functionnalities in CNF viewer?

Thanks,

Vincent

Vincent,

It seems to me the GMF folks were working on such a thing. I have no
experience with this myself. Maybe someone else will chime in
helpfully. :-)

Basic capability is described here:
"Bridging EMF to the common navigator"

Hi Jeffrey,

In your article, you mentionned that the navigation is not editable and
that you will write an article on this subjet. Did you?

As I said, I was able to display my EMF model in my navigator, but it
doens't support all editing capabilities...

Thanks

Vincent

Hi,
I have followed above mentioned eclipsezone link to bring EMF to common navigator.
However i have two problems,
1. I don't see the Context menu popup on the EMF EObject tree when i right click.
2. I would like to use property editor to edit EMF EObject properties.

Can anyone help me?

Best Regards,
Venkata

This is really old stuff and I don't think anything ever came from that. Some technologies provide integration with the Project Explorer view (which uses the Common Navigator framework), but those don't generally support editing as far as I know. You have to actually open an editor to do editing...

Hi, Capella uses a CNF viewer to edit models. Now I don't say it's pretty, but it works.
